Passage 2 – 5 Youghal United
United were always in control of this cup tie however they did have to come from behind after Passage took the lead under 10 minutes. Conner Coyne had them back in the game five minutes later and just on the blow for half time David Twomey put them in front. The away team had much of the second half and were inspired from an outstanding display from Darren Walsh in midfield which passage could not cope with. United wrapped up the game with three more goals in the second half even though passage did get a late goal back.

Youghal United 0 – 5 Midleton
This was a very one-sided local derby and Youghal played well below what they can do as the scorline would suggest.
It was Midleton who got into their stride faster and after 12 minutes took the lead when Gareth Reagan was beaten with a ball over his head,
United found themselves two down 8 minutes later and in a brave attempt to stop the goal Gareth Reagan was injured and despite that he could not do anything about the thrid goal which came just before the break when he was beat from a rocket of a shot 20 yards out.
Midleton were fully in control of the game and United tried to up their game in the second half but just could not get it going and two further goals in that half gave Midleton a well deserved win.

Youghal United 1 – 0 Park United
Goalkeeper Gareth Regan is part of the reason why United picked up three points in this game as he had to make at least three vital saves to keep United in the game especially in the first half where Park will feel disappointed they had not gone in at half time a couple of goals ahead.
United improved much more in the second half but it looked like Park would get the goal they deserved when they got a penalty but once again Regan in the Youghal goal made a great save.
Once again inspired subs by the manager helped Youghal and it was Darren Walsh who was on had to score the vital goal to give Youghal the victory.

Springfield Ramblers 0 – 2 Youghal United
This was a outstanding victory for United in this game as they always seemed to have the upper hand, it was a very close game for a spell but it was Youghal who had the better chances hitting the post and had a goal disallowed.
The game looked like a replay but going into the last 15 minutes two inspired subs from the manager jock gallogley turned the game for Youghal when Bobby O’Donovan and Mickey Kenifick scored two goals in that time to put a delighted United team into the next round.
United are back in action on Sunday next at Ardrath Park in the league when they play Park United. Kick-off is at 10.30.
