Split Sessions

Due to the increased attendance of Sunday morning training sessions, we are splitting into two sessions, beginning on October 12.

Children aged 4-7 will train from 10am to 11am
Children aged 8-9 will train from 11am to 12pm

This new arrangement will make training sessions safer and more fun for all children. Thanks for your cooperation.

No Pay No Play

Beginning October 5, children who have not completed a membership form and paid membership fees will not be allowed to train until forms and payments are received.

Membership forms include important contact information and medical details which help us to care for your children in the event of injury. Membership fees help in the ongoing operation of the club.

This rule will be strictly enforced.

Membership forms are available from T Kennedy on Sunday mornings, or can be downloaded from the club website at www.youghalunited.com

Shinguards

Please note that players aged seven years and older are required to wear shin guards to help prevent injury.

Youghal United 1 v Brideview 3 Under 16 national cup

NATIONAL CUP  UNDER 16 ARDRATH PARK SUN SEP 21ST
YOUGHAL UNITED 1  BRIDEVIEW 3
United never got going in this game and  it was the visitors who were the better team from the start. The homeside were luckey not to go behind a few times and had to thank stand in keeper Corey Savage who made two super saves but could not do much when eventally Brideview did take the lead on the half  hour and kept it to the break.
The second half was not much different for Youghal with Brideview still bossing the game and two goals in seven minutes put the game out of United’s reach. The boys did get a late goal to put a bit of respect on the scoreline but on the day Brideview were well worth the win leaving the home side with a lot to think about after this defeat.

Under 12 National Cup.
The game between youghal and clonakilty was postponed as the visitors were unable to field a team.

Nufarm Athletic 3 – 3 Youghal United

United had to come back three times in this game to share the points in what turned out to be a thriler of a game and only for the great performance of Dillon Mason in the Youghal goal Nufarm cold have taken all the points.

It was the home side who took an early lead in this game but United did not take long to get back on level terms when Patrick Daly scored for Youghal.

Nufarm thought they had gone back in front but Daly was on hand when he kicked off the line, but a few minutes later they did go ahead again but just before half time United were back on level terms again when Jake Power scored the first of his two goals.

It was Nufarm who started the better in the second half and had some good chances but the Youghal keeper in top form but could do nothing when the home side took the lead for the third time and looked like they had the game won.

But once again Youghal dug deep and Jake Power was their hero when he got Youghal’s third goal which gave them a share of the points in a game that all the Youghal players can be proud of.
